Have you ever heard of a Water Festival?
It’s not just any event; it’s a unique Science Conference for Kids, a one-of-a-kind and enjoyable way to learn about water!
Water Festivals are held nationwide to give students a splash of water education. Since 2004, the Northglenn Thornton Westminster Water Festival has hosted more than 12,000 4th and 5th-grade students. Thanks to professionals who shared their knowledge with these students, the event has been a success! The Water Festival is a fun, educational experience for students, teachers, and parents. The Water Festival engages students with topics like:
- Water conservation
- History of Colorado water law
- Water chemistry
- The water cycle
- Local water systems
- Weather
- Music
- Aquatic wildlife
- Ecology
Students have a blast with hands-on activities while learning about local and global water issues. And here’s the best part-it’s all FREE! Get ready to have a great time and start planning your participation in this unique and fun event.
While the Water Festival is primarily planned for fifth-grade classes, fourth-grade classes may also attend if the water festival is curriculum-appropriate.
Stay in the loop by subscribing to the Water Festival blog. You’ll be the first to know when registration opens and get the latest updates about the Festival!
