About

Have you ever heard of a Water Festival? It’s a Science Conference for Kids!

Water Festivals are held all over the country to give students a splash of water education. Since 2004, the Northglenn Thornton Westminster Water Festival has hosted more than 12,000 4th and 5th grade students. Thanks to professionals who shared their knowledge with these students, the event has been a success!

The Water Festival is a fun, educational experience for students, teacher and parents.  The next Water Festival will take place virtually due to Covid-19 precautions.
The Water Festival will engage students with topics such as:
  • Water conservation
  • History of Colorado water law
  • Water chemistry
  • Water cycle
  • Local water systems
  • Weather
  • Music
  • Aquatic wildlife
  • Ecology

Students will have fun with hands on activities while learning about local and global water issues. And did we mention it was FREE?
While planned for fifth grade classes, fourth grade classes may attend if the water festival is curriculum appropriate.
