Register Your School for the 2018 Water Festival

The Cities of Westminster, Northglenn and Thornton are pleased to offer the 14th Annual Northglenn-Thornton-Westminster Water Festival. It’s a science conference that focuses on water in our world. While planned for fifth grade classes, fourth grade classes may attend if the water festival is curriculum appropriate. Only one grade per school can attend.

The Water Festival is a fun, educational experience for students, teacher and parents. The Water Festival has been scheduled for Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Front Range Community College in Westminster. The Cities are covering the cost of the Water Festival and bus transportation, making it easy to participate! Please check to make sure this date doesn’t coincide with end of the year activities such as field day or other field trips.

The Water Festival will engage students with topics such as water conservation, the history of Colorado water law, water chemistry, the water cycle, local water systems, weather, music aquatic wildlife and ecology. Students will have fun with hands on activities while learning about local and global water issues.

  1. Wow, so pleased to know about this 2018 Water Festival. It must have been so fun. I also attended a carnival event recently at one of the local LA venues with my kids and it was super adorable. My kiddos were so happy to be a part of such a big and colorful event. We are planning such an outing over next weekend as well.
